How They Began. . . . .

IN 1997 THERE WAS AN ADVERT PLACED IN THE STAGE MAGAZINE FOR 5 PEOPLE TO MAKE UP A POPBAND. RAISING THEIR HOPES THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WENT AND TRIED THEIR BEST. AFTER LOTS OF AUDITIONS, LOTS OF LINE DANCING (for 5, 6, 7, 8). 5 PEOPLE WERE CHOSEN FOR THEIR SINGING, DANCING AND THEIR PERSONALITIES (now we know why H was chosen!!). THESE 5 PEOPLE ARE CALLED LISA SCOTT-LEE, FAYE TOZER , LEE LATCHFORD EVANS, CLAIRE RICHARDS AND IAN 'H' WATKINS . WHO EVERYBODY KNOWS AS THE LEGENDARY POPBAND STEPS!! (YES THEY ARE LEGENDARY!)

FACTS!!

• This year they will have been around for 4 years.
• They have done 5 tours and their 6th tour is coming up soon (Gold Tour.)
• They have had 2 number 1 singles. (Chain Reaction is a DEFINATE number 1!)
• It's the way you make me feel was very nearly a number 1 but some record companies put it out to early and that didn't count. :-(
