The St. Eugene Alligator Festival is held annually on the first Sunday
in October at the Grand Chenier State Park in Grand Chenier, Louisiana.
This is an annual fund raiser event for St. Eugene Church Parish.

Pageants for all age groups are held as well as a "Senior Citizen Pageant"
with crowns, tiaras and banners awarded to all the winners.

You can enjoy listening to a live cajun french band
or dancing to the lively rythum. Plenty delicious foods are available such as:
fried alligator, chicken or brisket lunches, hamburgers,  boiled crabs with corn and potatoes, and an array of freshly  baked desserts, soft drinks and lemonaide.

Come away with souveniers from the "Country Craft Store,"
cake or cookies from the "Cake Walk," or items from the regular and silent auctions.

Children will also enjoy the "Space Walk" available every year.

Someone from the wildlife may even skin an alligator for all to see.
