This has been a busy few days!  On Thursday, February 8, I had an appointment with my cardiologist, Dr. G., to see if I showed any signs of Long QT.  The first thing they did was make me take off ALL of my clothes so they could weigh and measure me.  According to their scales, I weighed 4.7 kg (about 10-and-a-half pounds) and they measured me at 21.5 inches.  Then they had to check my heart.  They had to do a 12-lead EKG AND I had to be quiet for a whole minute!!   It wasn't easy, but they got it done, and the computer said that I DO NOT show signs of Long QT!!  Dr. G. came in then and listened to my heart.  She said she could hear a slight murmur that is supposed to be there.  It's caused by my blood branching into my pulmonary arties from one blood vessel.  The best part of the appointment was the next ten minutes or so when she just sat holding me while she talked to Mommy and Daddy.  She said that her measurements agreed with the computer and that she doesn't need to see me again until I'm 1 year old.  If that appointment goes as well, I may only need to be checked once every four or five years.  Another thing that was neat about that appointment was that she talked about my pediatrician like they really know each other well.

On Friday, February 9, I had my one month check-up with Dr. D., my pediatrician.  On their scale I weighed 10 lbs. 4 oz., and they measured me at 20.25 inches.  My head is now 15 in. around and my chest is 15.5 in.  Dr. D. said that he thinks I'm doing really well and that Mommy and Daddy should, "Keep doing whatever they're doing."  The only bad part about the appointment was that I got my second hepatitis shot, but that only hurt for a little bit.

Today was a "milestone" day.  Mommy left me alone with Daddy for over two hours.  I slept most of the time, but I woke up hungry.  I started with my "hungry cry" and Daddy said he was going to feed me.  I thought, "This I gotta see!"  I don't understand it all, but some how he did it.  He put something like a pacifier in my mouth and the next thing I knew, I was getting Mommy's milk.  I kept my eyes open real wide, but I couldn't see Mommy anywhere.  I didn't know that Daddy was so tricky.  I'll have to keep my eye on him!!

I'll let you know if things change around here and I'll put up more pictures when I get them.
