This page is an arbitrary collection of video-grabs from my first trip to Nigeria. The quality is variable (I'm no Nigel Blake!) partly because I was new to the equipment - obtained video camera just prior to departure and had not read manual, and partly due to my aging optics through which I got most of the images - Kowa TSN2 and Optolyth bins, both 20 yrs old.
More plain-backed pipit images are on a separate linked page.
Please click on images for (in some cases only slightly) larger versions! Some short video clips follow at foot of page. All images or movies may be freely used for any non-commercial use, preferably with acknowledgement.

Male Slender-billed Weaver (0.5, 0.9 MB) + two extra images (breast plumage seems to lack any sign of the orange-red tinge of Slender-billed, appearing more Little Weaver; but I think bill shape and all-dark eye makes this Slender-billed - do you agree?) - garden in Festac Town, Lagos
