Fools and Heroes Black Country run on the third Saturday of most months. Please contact the Liason Officer Steve Kimber before turning up, just in case we're not running that month. We meet at the Castle Ring car park, Cannock Wood (on Cannock Chase) at about 10:00. The Forest Gate pub is opposite the car park.

Location For those that understand OS grid references the site is at SK045125   From the South West (M5, M6, M54) Follow the M6, and leave at junction 11, just past Hilton Park Services. (From the M54 leave at Jn 1 and take the A460 North to M6 Jn 11). Go 2/3 round the roundabout, and take the A460 North towards Cannock for a couple of miles until you come to a large roundabout with a McDonalds on the right. Turn right on to the A5. <continued below> From the North West (M6) Follow the M6, and leave at junction 12. Turn left on to the A5 towards Cannock for about three miles until you come to a large roundabout with a McDonalds on the right. Go straight over (not literally!) the roundabout, and continue on the A5. From McDonalds roundabout Take the A5 East towards Lichfield for about two miles, until you pass under a railway bridge. Turn left at the roundabout, and then right at the next roundabout which follows immediately. You should be on the A460 Cannock bypass. Stay on this road for about one mile, going straight over the two roundabouts. At the third roundabout turn right, on to the A5190 for Burntwood. Stay on this road for 3 1/2 miles, passing two roundabouts, and a mini-roundabout. Turn left at the traffic lights in Chase Terrace on to Rugeley Road. This is a long straight road that you need to follow until it ends in Cannock wood. Turn right, then first left, and follow Park Gate road up to the pub. The Castle Ring car park is directly in front of you.
