| The Apprentice House at Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, Cheshire is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Mrs Timperley, the wife of the supervisor for pauper children. She died in 1835 and her body was laid out in the attic and one of the young apprentices claimed to have seen her walking around the attic. Workers restoring the attic in 1988 also reported seeing a figure. |
