| Staff at Covent Garden station have reported seeing a tall man in a frock coat, tall hat and gloves. He paces the tunnels and has been seen regularly since the 1950's. The ghost is said to be an actor. William Terriss was fatally stabbed near the Adelphi Theatre in the Strand in December 1897. The story says he used to be a regular at the bakery that stood where the station was built. |
