Horner Park
Lebanon, Illinois
Photo Group #4
I am sorry I arrived so late at the Class of 1950 reunion, but the Class of 1939's reunion was so interesting, I could not pull myself away from it in time to see everyone at the 1950 reunion at the park. I arrived after lunch when many were already leaving or gone. I did manage to find a few alumni still hanging around and did get a few pictures. Thank you Class of 1950 for inviting me and putting up with my camera and photo requests. |
Suzie Wicks, who started teaching at LCHS in 1946 talks to a couple of 1950 alumni.
Many stay in the shade of the pavilion to visit and reminisce.
Two classmates chat leisurely in the shade of the pavilion.
Even in the shade it helps to have a cold soda to help stay cool.
The class of 1950 invited their former teacher, Suzie Wicks, to join them at
their 50th reunion. Suzie's daughter, Fran Potter (Myers) was also a 1950 alumnus,
and died just four months after the reunion.
Four friends decide to pitch washers in a good natured rivalry.
After an hour and a half, I think the score was 3-2. Just kidding, but
scoring in this game "ain't" easy.
This game is like the 2000 Presidential election. Nobody ever wins.
I wonder if any of these guys are lawyers? *smile*
