On January 29th, 1978, Steve turned up for a rehearsal with Def Leppard, after an invite from Pete Willis. Steve blew them all away with a note perfect rendition of Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and was immediately offered the position of co-lead guitarist... and the rest, as they say, is history.
RIP Stevie. You'll never be forgotten.
