Supernova |
A Supergiant - the biggest, brightest star - exhausts all it's energy many times quicker than it's smallest, duller neighbours, Red Dwarfs. It burns intensly, until all it's energy is spent - so much beauty is given in so short a time. At the end of it's short but intense life a Supergiant becomes a Supernova and gains in brightness until it outshines all the other stars in it's neighbourhood put together. Supernova are rare, very rare.
Steve, you are our Supernova. In your short but intense life, you gave us so much energy and beauty to marvel at. You're no longer with us in body but you still live on in the legacy of your intense creativity - your wonderful music... and with that remaining you're never really gone - you live on in our hearts and minds.
So next time you gaze up at a beautiful, clear night's sky, look to the brightest, most beautiful star that you can find... and think of Steve - I always do :)
