Main Much of Chinatown is influenced by Hong Kong, where I worked for 4 months at the start of 2000. Indeed, many of the textures were manipulated and extracted from digital pictures taken of buildings around Hong Kong. Some of the buildings and architecture are also taken from real places around Hong Kong.
