 Chapter 2

A Jail  With A View

Page 3

This time they were full of enough guns to star a small war.

He left all the big stuff alone and selected some over size  pens that were actually pen guns.

He also found tranquilizers darts.

His next country road led him to a old abandoned farm house that was  built around the civil war.

Most of the roof was collapsed but a  portion was still intact Billy unlocked a combination padlock  and pulled out a generator and started it ,now he had lights.

Someone had built a extensive work shop in the living-room and one of the  bedrooms had a virtual world set up consisting of a helmet, body suit and padded walls.

Billy suited up and started the program by pressing a red micro button in the center of his helmet the placement of the button also had the effect of turning off the simulator if he hit the well with his head.

He started with a view of the work shop in the other room,

first he pulled up a dynamic computer aided design program with a link to this personal computer to facilitate his personal style,

he quickly match up the designs he wanted using a global data base of designs with what was available in the shop in the way of materials and tools .

Next Billy used the suit he was wearing to go through the motions of finding and preparing the material he would be making into the devising he needed. The computer program would light up the bin.

Then Billy would motions with his hand to remove the items from the bin and the simulator would do so next he would propel himself to the designated machine and  the program would automatically adjust the machinery to the exact setting for cutting, drilling, or smoothing the item there.

Billy use the bu virtual ratification simulator to do one tenth of the job and stopped to go into the workshop and performing the actual task.

It was well into the evening before he was done with all of the assembly and packing.

......Billy now had a hour to spare so he decided to spend it in the Brotherhood Senate. Normally he let his representative use his vote but with this emergency draft going on he wanted to see what was happening in the pit.

He got his laser from the truck and powered it up after he was back in the farm house in full simulator suit and made the connection .

The Brotherhood had a very large Senate.

The crowd he became part of was bigger than any super-dome could possibly hold.

It was almost like being there.

It seemed that the supposed pending attacks on  the jails that held members of the brotherhood has brought in a lot of Senate members.

Billy didn't bother with any of the many debate going on but went to the master program.

This was a montage of programs that represented a simulation of the law passed by the Senate and their effectiveness on the people.

Billy went to the section of the program that Senate members  used to try out laws they  dreamed up before submitting them for a vote.

Billy made up a law that gave a small group of trusted key members sweeping powers in a life threatening situation  befalling the members of the brotherhood .
