Work Experience

I started working for the Marine Corps Exchange in 1973. For 26 years, I performed a variety of duties and jobs.

  1. I started out as a service station attendant.
    My duties were those of any service station attendant;

  2. My second position was store worker.
    In this position my duties included,
    I moved from a convenience store to a garden shop and learned how to use a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload trucks and cars. I also was involved in all of the inventories there.

  3. My 3rd position was as a forklift driver on the receiving dock of the retail warehouse.
    Here;
    From the receiving dock I went inside has a puller forklift driver; At this time I learned to use the computer

    I was a forklift driver for 7 years between 1980 and 1987.

  4. In May of 1987 I became a delivery driver.
    I drove a single body truck that required a class B license.
    I made deliveries to stores on base and to San Diego.
    I also moved whatever was required ensuring that it is done safely.

Begining on July 10th, 2000 I retired from the Marine Corps Exchane and started working for the Oceanside Unified School District.

My new position was as a delivery driver and my duties:

  1. pull orders for each school in the district
  2. deliver orders to each school
  3. load and unload trucks
  4. restocking goods in their proper place and rotation
  5. using the computer to receive and issue orders


At present I am still with OUSD
