Ode to the Toe
A love poem by Steven Wallace
Written sometime in November.. maybe... or October, 2002
Just looking at thine toes |
1 |
makes me feel as though I've |
whacked my funny bone through |
a wall. The sight of them, |
especially that weird, |
5 |
screwed up one (no, the one |
over there. Yeah, that's it) |
brings pain and fear over |
all of the land. Flee |
then from this place, with your |
10 |
feet of hideousness, |
oh wretch! I desire to |
see thee no more! Be gone |
from me at once, lest ye |
entice the monster of |
15 |
Glorindischalamus |
upon us all with thy |
feet from the underworld. |
