Oh, Peanutbutter
A love poem by Steven Wallace
Written on May 2nd, 2003
Finals are getting to me.

Oh, Peanutbutter!
How thou dost please my tongue!
Oh, Jelly!
Thy gel feels squishy and smooth
when smothered on my hands and feet!

Oh, how I do love thee!
Peanutbutter!
Jelly
Together in sandwich matrimony!
Do you take this condiment to be your
lawfully wedded partner in this
sandwich of life? I do!

What's that? The jelly has grown
a fickle fecal fungus?
Foe!
We shall fight the scum!
We shall be victorious!
No disease shall interupt
the unity of my sandwich!

Oh dear! The Jelly is distraught!
Peanutbutter wants to get some chunks!
Yes, 'tis sad, they had to go
to sandwich therapy.

Oh, Peanutbutter!
Oh, Jelly!
They've kissed and made up, Peanutbutter
has chosen to not grow chunks, 'tis a
happy time in the land of the Sandwich.
