Telling it as it is!

MUST SUCK TV at the Movies!

Due to time constants this week I have watched little TV, and what little I have watched really is not worthy of comment so instead I grabbed some popcorn and headed to my local multiplex to watch Jim Carrey's festive outing The Grinch.

Now this movie is not that bad for family entertainment had it been straight to video or satellite, but on the big screen this is pretty much a flat affair as Jim Carrey sounding like Tony Clifton (Andy Kaufman's alter ego as Carrey portrayed in Man on the Moon).

Okay in all fairness this is not all that bad the sets and make up add to a theatrical feel (which works great on video/TV) but on the big screen this appeals only to children and those with a pretty warped sense of humour.

Carrey is as great as ever as the titular Grinch while the rest of the inhabitants of Whoville do little but to irritate with the pointless braking into song of little Suzy Who mid way through the flick adds to the cringe-worthyness of this flick!

If you want to see the Grinch buy the DVD of the classic cartoon How the Grinch stole Christmas or the book of the same name by Dr Seuss!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It's Christmas and if you work in the Retail industry it's been Christmas since just before September!

Over this festive period spare a thought for all those poor Turkeys in the time of "Peace on Earth and good will to all men..... women and Chickens, Turkeys etc."!

What No Commentary!

Due to currently working in one of the establishments that love Christmas more than children do, I have had little time to watch the news let alone read a newspaper! Normal service resumes next week!
