Telling it as it is!

MUST SUCK TV!

It is very rare that a sci-fi drama can capture my imagination the way that Roswell High (BBC2) has been the past few months.

What makes this different is that the plot has to be the most ridiculous ever and it works! Three human looking aliens must conceal their identity from the Sheriff, FBI and alien hunters after one (Max) saves the girl he fancies (Liz) from being shot!

Produced by Star Trek The Next Generation's Jonathan (Riker) Frakes Roswell High makes for the most compelling television since The X Files and before that Quantum Leap.

But unlike the afore mentioned this is a continuing drama, so if you don't watch religiously you're playing catch-up for quite a while.

With a great cast including (Die Harder's William Saddler as the Sheriff) and a haunting theme by Dido this is how sci-fi should be done!

All Saints/NO Saints?

The on again off again split of all Saints appears to be on again as the Melanie Blatt or is it the Aplleton Sisters want to call it a day!

Come on who cares, and lets face facts the group is in essence just Shaznay Lewis (the creative talent) with Ms Blatt (the voice) and the standard two bimbos on backing. Musically they are sound, but, I'm sorry but I love watching these kind of groups implode as it gives you the chance to see who the real talent is i.e. Robbie Williams and Take That and Ronnan Keating and Boyzone!

Good luck Shaznay!

Little Billie Bull!

So little Billie Hague's election poster campaign has begun with the slogan "You've paid the tax so where's all the money gone?

I think that Billie should have asked that when the Tories were in power for all too long!

Not that I am a supporter of the Labour Party but the new breed of Tories strike me as being more untrustworthy than the last bunch, and, if they want to mount any real kind of opposition during the next General Election they must start by eliminating little Billie in favour of a Real leader!

Bulger Killers get Anonymity for Life!

I am sorry but what a pile of crap. Not only do they get the prospect of an early parole, they get anonymity. If this is justice for their crime it is a poor kind of justice. What about justice for little Jamie whose life they took.

Drugs found at Levesden Studios

So syringes have been found at Levesden studios where they are filming the Harry Potter movie. All I can say, speaking as a fan is, thank god it wasn't when they were filming Episode I.

England Glory?

Good luck to Sven-Goran Ericksson on taking full control of the England Camp earlier than expected!

Web World

Roswell on the Web

It's unusual for a TV show to have two official web sites, but this one has!

The first a sub- section of Warner Bros. online and can be found by clicking Roswell and is not a simple www the full address is way to long and a hindrance when doing a simple search!

What it lacks in quantity it also lacks in quality with the exception of guide to Season 1.

Other than that all it has is the trailer and synopsis to this weeks episode airing in the States!

What is severely missing from this is is a gallery of any kind and the unusual cast and crew bios!

The other official site

SilverHandPrint.com takes the permiss that the show is real and treats it as such.

This is a minimalist site that really does work!

Split into four categories UFL. Interview, Profile and FBI it examines the evidence presented in Roswell High as if it was fact and includes background information featured or talked about in the show right down to a copy of the reports that the characters are assigned to do on each other for a class project.

A genuinely nice site that is worth a look!
