Telling it as it is!

Son of Star Wars: Bush Strikes Back!

All of this talk of the 'Son of Star Wars' or America's new missile defense program that seeks support from our very own PM (due to the amount of hardware that will invade our shore no doubt) makes me think, is Darth Bush really trying to prevent a war or try and start one?

Face facts, a war is a good way to rally support and guarantee another term in office, if he wins that is.

The thing that annoys me (other than the the idea of ol' Bush wanting more weapons, and his seemingly make war not love attitude) is the fact that they sully the name Star Wars!

Son of Star Wars should only refer to the 2 sequels and 3 prequels to the motion picture Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope (1977/97)! Take that Darth Bush!

May Day Monopoly

The protesters were out in force in central London this week as they marched onto Oxford Street with the intention of bringing the Capital to a standstill.......Ooops they forgot to realize that there would be 6,000 Boys in Blue to stop them.

Despite a loss in trade and a bit of vandalism the rioters were unable to create the same mayhem as last year!

Now I don't support capitalism and realize that Britain has the highest shop prices in Europe, but violence accomplishes nothing and after the desecration of the Cenotaph and the Winston Churchill monument by the same breed of protesters last may, I have no sympathy for them.

All of my sympathies lie with the Commuters and the Tourists unlucky enough to be trapped in the capital!

Football's still homeless

The FA's plans for a new super-stadium collapsed this week due to the amount of capital that would need to be injected into the project!

The way I see it is if the Government can waste a load of money on the fiasco that was the Millennium Dome then why not help out the National Stadium.

Okay, Wembley as an area may be a bit of a dump, but there is the traditional side of things to think of!

Call me patriotic, but the National Stadium anywhere else would not feel right! If they can't afford to rebuild they should just renovate and keep the famous Twin Towers that have symbolized so much!

R.E.M VS GERI

This week two new releases in the single chart have stood out! The eagerly anticipated new singles from both Geri "Where have my assets gone" Haliwell and R.E.M.

One's a camp classic done badly (I'm sorry but It's raining men has to be up there as one of the worst songs ever), the other is a work of genius with the coolest music video in years!

Now, not that I am biased, but Imitation.... should enter the charts higher, but, no doubt taste counts for nothing ion the charts and I can see Geri reigning the Top Spot come Sunday!
