Telling it as it is!

Labour Wins £££££

Now I'm not saying that MPs (especially Labour MPs), don't deserve a pay rise but.........okay they don't deserve the pay rise that they rewarded themselves.

With Mr. Blair awarding himself an extra £905 a week (more than I currently earn in a month) I hope that Tony does enough this time in office to make this pay rise worth it to the British Tax payers or this will be one of the last pay rises that he will be giving himself for a while!

Billionaire Tory Boy!

Billionaire philanthropist Sir John Paul Getty wrote a cheque for £5 million to the Conservative Party this week. So at least the next Conservative leader will have something to look forward to when he or she is elected as it sure isn't a healthy role as Opposition!

Michael Portillo has announced that he is set to stand for the leadership with Ann 'Doris Karloff' Widdecombe expected to announce her intentions soon.

It does not matter who runs or for that matter who wins as at the moment the Tories stand little to no chance of gaining any power or support in the foreseeable future.

It is weird to think, looking at the state of the Tory party, that they were the dominant force for a greater part of the last 20 years!

No Bush!

Demonstrations greeted George Dubya Bush as he kicked off his first European Tour!

A tour in which he said that he would not agree to cut US pollution levels as it would affect the US economy. They guy truly believes that the Unites Sates of America is the world. And with that in mind he should remain there until the Americans vote a decent President.

A moron like Bush is the one thing that America really needs! After ex-President Bill Clinton (the best President that the Americans have ever had) it is about time that the Americans had a President like Bush.

It's funny as I recall that Clinton's predecessor was a bit of a moron as well.

McVeigh is executed

In the US this week Oklahoma bomber Timothy McVeigh was executed by Lethal Injection at the Terre Haute prison in Indiana.

The executed had to be delayed by 10 minutes while the prison authorities sorted out a problem with the live feed to Oklahoma where victims relatives watched his death via satellite.

Now there are people out there who believe that justice was done in his execution while other believe that he should have lived out his natural life in prison as a REAL punishment for his crime.

In all honesty I have never considered either before, but after some serious thought I have came to the conclusion that the Death Penalty was the right option and is the right option (we should send Harold Shipman over to them).

Criminals in jail do not know where they are going to die or when they are going to die, but, McVeigh and those on Death Row do.

Is is the wait on death row counting down the days until you ARE going to die, and knowing near enough the time place and date of your fate far worse than life time imprisonment.

After being told when you are going to die it is just a long wait until the time that it happens. I cannot think of a fate far worse as there is no cure (unless by some luck you get a reprieve).

Bushell of the Box

It is great to hear that my favorite columnist (that is a joke!) has been suspended form The Sun after comments that he made to rival newspapers about The Sun and the fact that The Star serialized his toilet paper (sorry I mean novel......no I was right the first time).

Now if we can rid that bigot off his soft-core porn quiz show on satellite's Granada Men and Motors then the world will be a better place.
