Telling it as it is!

Ann Widecombe drops out!

Ann Widecombe, who is about as popular as William Hague and Margaret Thatcher has announced that she has no intention of standing for the Tory leadership which is bad news for Labour and the Lib Dems!

If Ms Widecombe had won the Tory leadership then Labour would already have won their third term in office while Charles Kennedy would have even more seats in Parliament!

Narinder out of Big Brother

Hallelujah my favorite Big Brother contestant (must quit with this sarcasm!) has been voted out!

Without the bitchy Narinder , who will Brian bond with? How will the group survive without a good villain (they make the beast TV)?

Maybe they should vote her back in and vote Josh or Paul out? Remember how mush better Big Brother 1 was before Nasty Nick was disqualified).

The Force of DVD

At last after months of speculation and numerous Japanese pirates, George Lucas has announced the worldwide release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace on DVD.

Appearing on October 15th (UK) and 16th (US), Phantom Menace is the first Star Wars movie to be given the DVD treatment.

With a package that is set to put almost every DVD out so far to shame, ...Menace will include storyboards, commentary, documentary, deleted scenes etc. and should be on the shopping list of almost every DVD owner.

If George follows Lucasfilm's release pattern the Episode II teaser trailer should be out in cinemas (and perhaps on the DVD) in October.

Atomic Kitten destroy a classic!

Now I have heard some good cover versions and some terrible cover versions, but Atomic Kitten's Eternal Flame (now showing on teen music channels) is by far the worst!

The 80s Bangles classic has been ruined with it's lack of guitar, given a crap dance beat and sung by girls who have not the look or the style of Suzanna Hoffs and Co.

As for the videos itself it sucks, NO it sucks bad! No imagination and that is based on the standard of other prefab groups, NOT real bands.

And why did they replace the talentless big breasted one of the group with another talented big breasted one? You would have thought that they would have found someone who could carry a tune!

I would love to see a re-release of the Bangles Eternal Flame just to see how the two compare on sales. Cover versions are only good if some originality can be injected, if not then what is the point.
