A vision of nowness!

Telling it as it is!

Bradford Riots!

Bradford, once a peaceful areas where the whites and Asians lived together was turned into a battlefield this week as Asians and whites clashed in some of the worst race riots seen in recent years!

With businesses destroyed this mindless destruction does little but to give the BNP more fuel and spread racism.

This minority should stop and think about what they are doing and look at Leicester an area that is mixed race, and yet the people live in peace with each other and I hope that this never changes.

Incredible Wimbledon Final!

I'm not much of a Tennis fan (especially since Martina Hingis was knocked out on the first day) but the Men's final between Pat Rafter and Goran Ivanisevic was a five set thriller!

As with every sport there has to be a winner and a loser, but on the court last Monday there were two winners as both gave it there all with Ivanisevic winning with only the smallest of margins!

This was true sportsmanship and I wish them both the best of luck for the future as they both deserved to be in the final and the better man on the day won.

Big Brother sex?

With both Helen and Josh up for eviction this week it came as no surprise that Josh was evicted!

Call me a cynic, but, all the voyeurists that watch Big Brother 18 hours a day on E4 want Helen and Paul to get together and 'get jiggy with it' (to quote Will Smith) so Josh had to go!

At this point I feel that Big Brother should continue longer as I am really getting into watching these lab rats doing tricks for more food money while trying to win the £70,000 prize.

If you believe the press then Brian will win and I know that I am alone in not wanting him or Elizabeth to win.

Brian is loud and Elizabeth comes across as smug so I want Dean to win or if not him Paul (come on he deserves it after being nominated yo go so many times!). But whoever wins they all must remember that their 15minutes of fame started about 10 minutes ago.

Roswell ends with a bang!

Sci-fi drama Roswell completed it's second season run this week on Sky with a finale that matched the whole of the second series of this great piece of television.

Not so much the tear-jerker that was predicted but more of a resolution, as all of the questions that arose throughout the second series were answered right down to the traitor/murderer in the camp (The alien Tess).

Now it takes a lot to surprise me but to have Tess revealed as the murderer of Alex as well as deliberately getting pregnant so that the 'Pod Squad' would have to go home and face death at the hands of Kavar was a real shock.

With great acting form all involved, the ending was satisfying and left you wanting more!

Kissproof world

This week I received through the post one of the best CDs that I have heard all year, Jane (Rush Hour) Wiedlin.

After the short lived FroSTed (and between Go-Go's duties) Jane has hit the mark with a CD that oozes pretty punk and shows that she can produce better solo work that her Go-Go's colleague Belinda Carlisle.

Now this CD is not for most, but if you like music that is 'poppy' with an edge then this is for you.
