Telling it as it is!
Old-Hat Spice
Queen of Publicity Victoria Beckham made the headlines again this week for all the wrong reasons!
Rather than letting the music speak for itself, she decided to have her mouth pierced before a performance at Birmingham's Party in the Park. Did I forget to mention that chart rivals Kylie Minogue and former "friend forever" Geri Halliwell were on the same line up!
Wow what a publicity stunt! and before she could reveal it was a fake some of her sheep sorry I mean fans had copied her, oops!
Maybe it's just me but every time I see Ms Beckham she looks more and more like an alien and the mouth ring looked good on her as if it was some sort of communication devise to contact her home planet!
Hey, all's fair in love, war and the music industry, but, if this is the only way that she can grab the headlines to flog her musical career, then she better milk the publicity machine dry before people realize how little real talent she really has.
Aaliyah
It is with sadness that I write about the death of R&B legend in the making Aaliyah.
Okay, I know as much about R&B that I could fit onto a postage stamp, but, at 22years old and a career that was on the way up, this is a tragic end for a star that was just beginning to shine.
To die in a plane crash after completing a video shoot is a terrible way to go and a complete waste of a natural talent.
The music industry will mourn their loss for many years to come.
Stam not very Utd!
It takes a lot to shock me in the football world ( I watch Dream Team and they have covered nearly every possible way of writing out characters) but Man Utd have done it this week with the surprise selling of to defender Jaap Stam to Lazio for £16.35 million.
Apparently it has nothing to do with comments made in hid forthcoming autobiography in which he claims that Sir Alex Ferguson had made an illegal approach to Stam before he signed for Utd as well as discouraging comments made about his Man Utd team mates.
Okay, Stam is wrong to have made the comments while still under contract at Utd, but to be basically sacked for it is ridiculous.
Stamm is one of the greatest defenders in the world and Sir Alex better have a good game plan or he will find his final year in charge at Old Trafford to be a disappointing one.
No matter how much money that you have to spend or the amount of good players that you have you do not sell someone of the caliber of Stam and not expect a gaping hole in defense!
I only hope that other Premiership teams can seize this opportunity to break Utd down and crown new Premiership champions this year.
Foot and Mouth Returns!
Foot and Mouth has hit the headlines again, but not on this site! I am now completely bored with this whole story as is everyone else I am sure so unless there is some major breakthrough good or bad in the epidemic this column is now a Foot and Mouth free zone!
For my opinion please check out my previous editorials as they offer my genuine opinion on the outbreak since the start!
