Telling it as it is!

No help for Farm Aid!

Michael Evis, the farmer behind the Glastonbury festival is finding it difficult to attract big names for his Farm Aid venture in aid of the rich stricken farmers!

Is it really any surprise!

Come on, it's not as if the farmers are getting enough subsidies from the Government topped with the money that they will receive for the cattle that they have had destroyed.

Have you ever seen a poor farmer?

Farm Aid really puts into context the reality of the likes of Band Aid and all of the other worthwhile musical charity events. Farm Aid is a joke.

This crisis can be seen as doing the Farmers a favor as they no longer have to complain about city folks walking across footpaths they see as their own property!

The British people may at times be gullible but not that gullible.

To quote Belinda Carlisle on the PeTA Tame Yourself Album (in aid of animal protection) "Bless the beast and the children for in this world they have no voice, they have no choice".

Ireland in the News again!

North Belfast was thrown in termoil again this week as Parents taking their children to a Catholic school made their way down a Protestant street!

Now I am against violence and those who threw missiles and blew whistles should have known better!

Where children are involved protesting and violence has no place and only goes to encourage and breed hatred on both sides of the argument.

But having said that, if I was a parent and told not to go down a street because of the threat of harassment, I would not try and encourage them.

The bottom line is this, I don't care how pig headed you are, if you have a child in your care, you don't go down a street that is essentially off limits for a principal.

Hatred breeds hatred and this has to stop.

England 5 - Germany 1

Well done to Sven Goran Ericksson for beating the Germans in their own backyard, before their not as impressive win against the Albanians.

To quote Gary Lineker after the Albanian match "There is no such thing as an easy win except against the Germans.

Liverpool's Owen, Heskey, Gerard and Fowler supplied the goals. With a form like that it will be interesting to see if the England's star players can show the same skill in the Premiership.
