Telling it as it is!
After weeks of self publicity Aussie Pop and Gay Icon Kylie and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham go head to head in the chart battle of the year!
As I write Kylie has the lead, and with weekend sales to come can Mrs Becks gain some ground?
Call me shallow but I love all this Pop battles especially if it is a one horse race. One horse is doing all the self publicity (Becks) while the other (Kylie) is letting the music speak for itself.
If Kylie wins and she probably will then it will be down to the music, if Becks does it will be because she will have scored points by getting nipple ring (no doubt it would be a fake).
Okay that may sound a bit crass but it is the only thing that Mrs Becks has yet to try to drum support for her solo career.
Here's a thought if Becks wants a hit she should try a voice coach and putting on some weight!
Old Conservatives!
As much as I have enjoyed writing about the Conservative Party over the past few months, I feel that I can now no longer write as easily and with the sense of humor that I have written about these relatively inoffensive and seemingly harmless so called MPs.
The announcement last week of Iain Duncan Smith as the leader of the Opposition has turned the Tories from being mildly to very amusing to dangerous.
With Smith in control of the Party I foresee party divided and a party that has little chance of putting forward a decent campaign for the nest general election unless:
1. Labour make a very big mistake
2. The BNP disband and their supporters join the Conservatives. Their values are very similar to Smiths and no matter what way he sugar coats it that is the way that I see it!
As much as I dislike the Conservatives I have always enjoyed writing bout them. Now I just wait for Mr Smith to make a major screw up.

Who wants to cheat at Millionaire?
As Chris Tarrant would say "But we don't want to give you that" so did the producers of "Who wants to be a Millionaire" this week as they blocked a yet to be televised episode and canceled a 'winners' £1million cheque under suspicion of cheating.
The accused a Major in the Army (so again he really doesn't need the money as it seems with all of their £1million winners) is believed to have been helped by someone coughing in the audience.
The Producers and Police are looking into the allegation while the accused is set to sue the shows producers.
From where I stand everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but, producers don't pull programmes unless they are near certain of irregularities and especially programmes with such a huge audience.
Whether innocent or guilty this whole situation has given "Who wants...." no end of free
can only be a good thing for the producers and if they do not have to pay out then it is even better for them!
