Telling it as it is!
American ground troops have now entered the war! With this let us hope that it is as successful as the Gulf War.
It is always dangerous when you send in ground troops especially if you consider the luck that the Americans have had at it or are they forgetting the fiasco that was Vietnam.
One things for sure this is not going to be a quick bomb them, overthrow the Taliban, capture Osama and get back in the afternoon for Apple pie type of a war.
So good luck to all the troops and I can only hope that they don't need a lot of body bags!
New York's new Mayor
Billionaire businessman Michael Bloomberg was this week elected as the new Mayor of new York.
Despite spending $50 million on his campaign it was the endorsement of outgoing Mayor Rudolph Giuliani they sealed it for Mr Bloomberg.
Rudolph Giuliani has turned himself into an international hero with his positive attitude since the September 11th and had proved more of a role model than President George Bush. Maybe Mr Giuliani should consider the Presidency for next election?
Star Wars II Trailer goes online!
Those wonderful people at www.starwars.com have put the trailer to what looks like next years big movie on their website!
Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones (and I assume that they are not sheep clones although sheep piloting Tie fighters would be quite cool) looks noting short of amazing!
At only one minute it is quick and easy to download and features the breathing of Darth Vader (or is it?) and clips of some of the most recognizable characters in Star Wars as well as some new.
The highlight for me was seeing Yoda, Jengo Fett, Watto and a ship that looks like Jengo's son's (Boba) Slave 1.
Manchester United Sucks!
Man United suffered two blows this weeks, first they lost 3-1 to Liverpool at the weekend, then their reserves were hammered by Arsenal's reserves in the Worthington cup even though they had former Man Utd goal hero Dwight York playing!
In Sit Alex's last season as Manager you'd think that they would be trying harder or is their effort useless without a certain Mr Jappp Stamm who was sold for all of the wrong reasons?
