NWO 4 Life

Still telling it as it is!

WWF No Way Out

The unimaginable happened to the world of pro wrestling on Sunday as Has-been, sorry I mean Hollywood Hulk Hogan returned to the WWF.

Just as Hogan with Scott Hall & Kevin Nash (AKA The NWO) helped to make WCW (now owned by Vince McMahon AKA the WWF) a thorn in Vince McMahon's side, now McMahon is using the NWO to bring life back to the industry he all but controls!

The important question as to what would it be like if the WWF and WCW were to team up was answered last year....it would be come crap!

The lack of competition has made the WWF a cheaper alternative to sleeping tablets and to try and revive the ratings Vince has brought (paid) out of retirement some of the greats!

No Way Out was by no means a great wrestling PPV (pay per view) but the presence of the great ones (a rejuvenated Hogan, a sober Hall, and a as usually great Kevin Nash) elevated what was in essence a mediocre offering by the WWF, making it the best PPV so far this year (which isn't hard)!

One thing that cannot be forgiven is the pairing up of RVD (Rob Van Dam) against Golddust!

RVD is one of the best talents to hit wrestling in a long time and his feud with gimmick wrestler Golddust is nothing more than an insult and a step backwards in his career!

The highlight of the event was Taz and Spike defending the Tag titles against Test and Booker T! It was great to see the smaller wrestlers take on the giants and win! Nice one Vince!

Monsters Inc.

I so much wanted to hate this film as I would have loved to use the headline "Monster Stink" but sadly it's a very enjoyable movie!

Coming from the Disney/Pixar studios (Toy Story, A Bugs Life) this digitally animated movie showcases the next generation of the feature film technology developed for Toy Story.

Sadly this is no Toy Story or Shrek with the humor geared more towards the younger audience than it's predecessors.

Mike (a green ball with one eye voiced by Billy Crystal) and Sulley (a bear type with cool blue and purple fur voiced by John Goodman) are the top two scarers in Monstertropolice whose job it is to scare children for their screams which runs their cities. The only things is they are as scared of the children as they are of them.

So when a child follows Sulley through the closet door to monstertropolice mayhem ensues.

The story is full of morals and the humor does not come close to Shrek, but the animation is stunningly beautiful and is worth the price of admission alone.

If this is the future of animation then it is in good hands.

As a bonus before the main feature is the Pixar short for the birds which is a very funny short film.

Naomi's News Of The World

In a seemingly selfless act, on Sunday The News of the World ran a story on Naomi and her personal assistant smuggling drugs into the country!

Of all the times that they could have run a story like this! What with Naomi suing the Mirror (whose Editor Piers Morgan was one time editor of the News of the World) over invasion of privacy amongst other things.

It was refreshing to see papers from rival organizations standing up and reporting the illegal and underside of celebrities live off of the media and then when the tables are turned bite the hand that feeds them.

As long as those celebrities who invite the media in when it suits them, then claim harassment when it doesn't still have a platform and do things that they shouldn't then the public has a right to know.

Those who make a celebrity also have the power to break them. If Naomi continues the way that she is now then no one will care about her as no print media will want to write about her in case she decides to sue them.

Blue Dude 2

After a few months going natural, the Blue Dude has finally returned. So a big thank you to Gillian Waterfield for her help with the peroxide/colorant!

Surprisingly this time the blue hair has returned not for any musical or shock reasons this time! After being blue for a better part of last year, I prefer the way that I look (it matches my car) and it gives me confidence!
