Still telling it as it is!
The War Goes on!
Seven US troops die and one helicopter down as Allies fight a renewed Taliban/al-Qaida.
Now this so called 'War on Terrorism' might have entered a new phase, but where is Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban/al-Qaida leaders that the US want to bring to justice?
They don't know and yet they are still sending in the troops!
Okay, I know little about war (except that Dubya Bush is a dangerous warmonger) but I would have thought that precise air strikes made more sense than sending in ground troops!
Roswell: Response from the Sky!
After last weeks news that Roswell seems unlikely to make it to a fourth season, I emailed Sky to find out what has happened to season three. Their response is as follows:
"Sky One has acquired the rights to season 3 of 'Roswell', however, it
is not scheduled for broadcast at present."
So many thanks to Margaret Tannock Viewer Relations at Sky for her response even though it was not exactly the news that I had hoped for!
Rik
Waller: Shite Idol
Now I have heard some crap cover versions in my time, but, I never thought that Atomic Kitten's "Eternal Flame" could be beat. But it has!
Rik 'Fats' Waller's rendition of "I will always love you" is a shite karaoke esque offering that is more cheesy than....a pizza hut all cheese deep pan!!!!
This track is terrible, and the video is even worse. Rik looks like Uncle Fester (the Addams family) with a wig and the production values of the track are just appalling a real throwback to the bad elements of 80s pop! And why is he so obviously wearing eyeliner!
Will Young: Fastest Selling UK debut
Congratulations must go out to Will Young for scoring the fastest selling no.1 single in the history of the UK singles charts and an even bigger congratulations to ME for having managed to not hear either of his Double A side singles in full!!!!
I cannot stand this prefab pop and I would also like to Thank Q, VH-1 and MTV2 for not having it in rotation or heavy rotation!
As for Mr Young's management not allowing him on Top of the Pops because they would not allow him to perform both songs, I'm sorry but if established artistes only get one song who do they think they are expecting two!
So another Thank You to the Producers of Top of the Pops for standing their ground!
