Editorial

Still telling it as it is!

Editorial/Site Revamp!

I would like to apologies to anyone who read last weeks editorial column!

I'll admit that it is one of the best looking columns that I have written and it's not that bad a read, but, it was bit of a cop out!

As much as I love the look and the structure of last weeks column, in retrospect it harks back to my pre-palm days and is more fitting with my commentary section (where it can now be found).

If this is your first visit to my site then you have came at a great time as the Editorial column which you are reading now is more like the editorial column I envisaged as opposed to a more news oriented column that it has been in the past.

With my commentaries, reviews Weight-Gain and Star Wars diaries this site has not looked better, so a BIG THANK YOU for visiting www.stevenwaterfield.co.uk and I hope that you have liked what you have seen.

Retail Rumour Patrol

Can you hear them they talk about us, telling lies, well that's no surprise, can you see them see right through them, they have no shields no secrets to reveal" - Our Lips are sealed - The Go-Go's, 1981!

These lines sum up exactly what it's like to work in retail at the moment.

Why do people with no lives of their own seem intent on spreading malicious gossip and rumour about others who they have no idea about, be it their sexuality, what they do out of work or who they are having/had sex with.

If I hear someone being called a 'slag' once more or speculation about others being gay (apparently I am, which is news to me) I'll start wearing ear plugs.

I find it sad that malicious gossip is the only thing that keeps these people going and wish them well in finding a life of their own.

Episode II: The First Wave

Tuesday was a big day for fans of the galaxy far, far, away with the worldwide release of the first shipment of Attack of the Clones figures!

After the lackluster Episode 1 figures, Episode 2's are a welcome return to form for both Hasbro and Lucasfilm.

With all new characters (as well as improved characters) both Episode II and it's merchandise seems to be bringing back the magic to the saga that took a massive blow by the commercial hit yet critical bomb that was Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

A nice touch is the classic 3" figures, now packaged with a bold Star Wars logo with gold and silver border around a blue backing card, harking back to the original 78-85 range.

If the movie is half as good as the figures, Episode IV: A New Hope had better watch out as ....Clones could be the definitive Star Wars movie.
