Still telling it as it is!

Monsters Inc.

I so much wanted to hate this film as I would have loved to use the headline "Monster Stink" but sadly it's a very enjoyable movie!

Coming from the Disney/Pixar studios (Toy Story, A Bugs Life) this digitally animated movie showcases the next generation of the feature film technology developed for Toy Story.

Sadly this is no Toy Story or Shrek with the humor geared more towards the younger audience than it's predecessors.

Mike (a green ball with one eye voiced by Billy Crystal) and Sulley (a bear type with cool blue and purple fur voiced by John Goodman) are the top two scarers in Monstertropolice whose job it is to scare children for their screams which runs their cities. The only things is they are as scared of the children as they are of them.

So when a child follows Sulley through the closet door to monstertropolice mayhem ensues.

The story is full of morals and the humor does not come close to Shrek, but the animation is stunningly beautiful and is worth the price of admission alone.

If this is the future of animation then it is in good hands.

As a bonus before the main feature is the Pixar short for the birds which is a very funny short film.
