American Pie 2

The thing that set aside American Pie from it's contemporaries was the writing and the characters. It also made the gross-out teen comedy an in thing with the Hollywood studios (something Mallrats should have done in 95).

Now the original cast and writers care back with a movie that retains the freshness of the original as well as being an hysterical showcase for Sean William Scott's Stiffler.

Set a year after the original Pie, Pie 2 catches up with characters as they all hang out after their first year at college.

Pie2 is still the king of gross out humor, but, it is the sentimentality that Pie2 brings along that separates this from the rest of the bunch.

If they retire the Pie franchise after 2 it would be a good thing before they become predictable, but, a Stiffler spin off would be cool!

Overall Pie 2 is a definite **** star rating.
