approx. 20km from Alexandria. It has
been refered to by many people as the egyptian equivalent of Monte-Carlo, although having lived here for 20 months
I'm pretty sure that the closest the same said people have got to Monte-Carlo is wearing the backless kind that slip on your feet!!. Having said that, it does have a pretty laid back feel to the place with many nationalities frequenting the area.
Paradise Club where you can sit and enjoy
the magical performances og the belly dancers. Who am I trying to kid?, Its the
same 3 glum faced girls week in, week out who stand on the middle of the dance floor tapping their feet every now and again whilst counting the tips they have managed to cadge off any hapless new faces that happen to be in the building.
Still, dont let me put you off - for the first 10 months it's quite entertaining!.
Wimpy bar that we have never seen locals go to yet. No ones dared to pluck up the courage to ask why but it doesn't stop us going!. Mind you, you dont see many stray dogs around the place.
