December, 1998

American Airlines has begun B762 service on saturdays between Vancouver and New York JFK.
Britannia has returned to YVR with a saturday service from London.
KLM Royal Dutch Airways announced that for a two-month period (December 28 - February 21), it would be reducing its daily service between Vancouver and Amsterdam to four-times weekly.
Korean has delayed the introduction of the Boeing 777 on its YVR-SEL route until Jan 15th, 1999.

November 18, 1998

TWA will begin St Louis-Vancouver service on May 15th, 1998. The service will begin with a one daily M80 service.

November 8, 1998

Korean will start B777 service on January 5th between Vancouver and Seoul. The service will continue to be twice weekly.

November 6, 1998

Alaska Airlines will start a daily non-stop YVR-Palm Springs service Dec 13, 1998. Here are the flights

Ryan (Airtours UK) will operate an Airbus A320 out of Denver starting May28th on charter flights to Vancouver & Anchorage. This is a Suntrips program.

January 6, 1998

Delta Air Lines will suspend service between Vancouver and Atlanta on January 31, 1998, and Salt Lake City and Portland on March 31, 1998. Vancouver will continue to be served by Delta Connection carrier, SkyWest, with nonstop flights to Delta's hubs at Salt Lake City and Portland. SkyWest will operate one daily flight between Vancouver and Salt Lake City and one daily flight between Vancouver and Portland beginning April 1, 1998.
