Entry for December 7, 2006 - Reworked
hm... Not really in the mood for typing, but i'll just type for the hell of it as work is 'really busy' (kinda getting over the whole blog idea but its good to relive nonetheless). Last week - Hm.. kind of a blur at the moment. ah thats right (just checked the mobile phone calendar) Wednesday- went and watched Arsenal V Fulham at craven cottage, thanks to youngy for the tickets. Great game and the fulham fans were awesome. If u don't know the result it was 2-1 to fulham! Marko and I stood on the edge of the pitch and watched Thierry Henry, Van Persie (the big names) warm up right in front of us! Totally in awe. I felt for a moment I was at the zoo and the players were the extinct pandas and other exotic creatures and taking pictures and watching them in their habitats (sorry for digressing, maxys fav). Only annoying thing was I lent Marko my digital camera the night before as he went to George Michael (a whole book in itself) and my digi cam battery was flat. youngy lent his (thanks again) however we could only take 5 photos!!! hahahaha... i realised that the resolution was too high, so after much fiddling, I lowered the resolution and I took 11 photos. So I don't have any pics to upload here... It was a great game anyway. Thursday- Caught up for lunch with Jen Bateman and Chris Dunn, who I worked with at the HIC (Health Insurance Commission as it was known). Jen was travelling through from Dublin down towards Africa and 'Dunnie' was working here in London. Friday - same old work drinks then hung out with Maxy and Youngy at the Elk in Fulham. Maxy and Youngy snuck in some scotch to the bar and we orded 'coke's' all night! We weren't very good at being inconspicuous. Saturday - watched the football with marko and youngy at my local (Famous 3 kings, not that is is famous), played pool and I think Maxy won 2 and I won 1. That night I organised farwell drinks (for yours truly) at the Shepherds bush walkabout. It was very much a canberra reunion. Marko, Youngy, Gary (from Soccer canberra who I saw randomnly at the Aus v ghana game), Paul (who starred in a previous blog), Paula, Liv, Brad from work, Damian and Nikki. I had a good dance and alot of snake bites were had. ended up at some random house party (liv apparently knew them) and ended up staying at Damo's as he lived just down the road. Sunday - slept in till 12pm and had eggs benedicte at a lovely cafe next door to Damos. I was pretty 'pooped' so I said my goodbyes to Damo and Nikki and headed home. Sunday - Another story... another time...
