Monday -7 am Went to the place to wait for
transport north..but no-one told me the road was
closed ahead until the evening . So ended up
waiting for a truck then for it to travel around
the town picking up passengers ..before leaving
at 2pm . Made it to Abancay by night
Tuesday - Set off at
6am for Andauallyas. Spent the afternoon strooling
around town.took the night bus to Ayacucho. This countryside is really tough
, you spend so much time climbing out of the
valley then down into the next .now I fid it
would have cost me 15 dollars and 20 minutes ton
what has cost me 10 dollars and taken 48 hours...Andes rule
FLY !
Wednesday - Got into Ayacucho on Mr Wankers bus, seriously I could take a photo and
send it to the TV , a traditional tribal name
here so many of the shops are called this, but
spelled Huanca.
Took a guided tour to some Wari ruins, , a city of 80,00 people, more
mystery.
Strolled around the town another nightbus tonight
Thursday - Arrived
in Huancayo visited some more Wari ruins.
boring. Then
took the bus to the small town of Jauja for a quick stroll around. Took the
bus to Tarma
Friday - Peru has
the same problem as Turkey , there are so many
ruins it's impossible to look after them all . I
went walking in the countryside to some all
covered in bushes.
Then late in the day I found Tarma Tambo a whole
traditional atmospheric village built on
extensive Inca ruins. (locals wearing tradional
clothing etc) Tarma Tambo would be a
great place to spent a whole day exploring I
recommend it . I met a kind local who showed me
around....nightbus to Lima
