Yorkshire Dales

Went to Bradford to go to the festival, saw a few things , went to Saltaire The National Museum of Film and Photography. Walked in the Dales I really recommend :

• The Colour Museum in Bradford
  well worth the £1.50 entrance fee ..loads of interesting things about colour
• Bradford Industrial Museum & Horses at Work (Free) ... loads of machines and demos , Shire horses etc Moorside Rd, Eccleshill, Bradford, BD2 3HP Tel: 01274 631756
• Armley Mills Industrial Museum £2 takes at least 3 hours , loads of displays, machines , steam, demos, cinema etc Canal Rd, Armley, Leeds, LS12 2QF Tel: 0113 263 7861

Love Parade in Leeds

300,000 people at this free festival ..but disappointing, because of the lack of really good techo and volume and the lager louts with their litter dropping and violent attitudes.

Went to the Royal Amouries too ..some good demonstrations jousting , trying suits of amour etc ..you couldn't see all the demos in one visit

Forest Of Dean

Seven Revels a samll hippy festival with over the top policing and rules

Wales (Welsh speaking area, Centre For Alternative technology, back down to Offas Dyke and walked from Tintern to Chepstow)

Wiltshire

Stewarding at the Big Green Gathering ..disappointing ..There were lots of pseudo hippy heavily childed families in their big cars with loads of camping stuff, spending money on lots of pseudo hippy crap and feeling smug cos they were S...O green

walking among the Stone circles of Avebury,nearby burial mounds and Bronze Age Fortresses

annoyingly missed The Big Chill (techno festival)
