2. The Peninsulas

map The first Saturday I decided to explore the peninsulas outside the city making a circle around to the ocean Geelong and on to the old seaside town of Queenscliffe where the Youth Hostal is also a quaint upmarket hotel

Across through Mornington Penninsula to Sorrento (site of the first colonial settlement in Victoria) with another nice Youth Hostel.

Walking on the beach I heard some nice music coming from a nearby beach bar ..I expected it to be packed, but it wasn't so ended up talking with the family of the two brother musicians ..heres some of the music I recorded Breakfast in America (big file !), tune2, Cecilia ,

Monday - stopped of at a mountain called Arthurs Seat, the view across to the city wasn't very good cos of the rain , but walking in the forest I came across

who stood just 7 feet away just staring at me .. The size of them was quite impressive, because of course they looked quite human.
