5. Being A Guinea Pig

Friday - did my first session as a guinea pig
unphoto : me with an electrode cap on my head

but before that I went for a walk around the Crown Casino. What a bizarre world
unphoto : tacky halls filled with pensioners
bussed in to gamble all their money on slot machines. They really enjoy themselves,. but it's not right is it ... ?

But I realised .. neither is mainstream society with it's perverse capitalism ways of people drinking and smoking too much and finding "real " enjoyment in the soap operas and sport is just as bizarre to me ...roll on the cultural revolution

Saturday - walked into town and saw a pretty good busker on Southgate then went to a show down the street from the hotel : at the Lithuanian club a band with a Spanish name played Australian blues

Sunday - After watching the buskers at Southgate I went to the Vic Arts centre to see the best

Victorian play of the year award and a reading of the play : The Salt Creek Murders by Melissa Reeves- based on the true story of serial killer in 1850s South Australia. God it was the same as Edinburgh, despite being the winner the play wasn't terribly good , the characters were quite convincing and it told us a little about the struggles or early settler life, but it wasn't very entertaining in causing us to laugh or feel other emotions like suspense and didn't teach us anything ... what the point in writing anything unless you have a message ?
