Mon- continued down the Kings Road

| made the mistake of taking a local bus instead of express. Road became a mud track through the jungle. It wasn't so interesting cos of course the forest was so dense all you could see was the forest and the road. I got of the bus at --- and decided that cos the ferry left from nearby I would visit Ovalau.

Wondering around at night we heard music and found it was came a traditional pacific island dance show by local students hear music. It was a good show

Tuesday Walk to Lovoni volcano village

Lovoni village, in the centre of Ovalau, is nestled within a spectacular extinct volcanic crater. Guided walks to the village from Levuka explore rainforest, a chief's burial site and the Korolevu Hill Fort.

His cousin shows up at 11 and instead of walking we go by Carrier, go around the village for 10 minutes have lunch for 20 mins while he reads from a book badly . He then says it's too late to walk back it would take 4 hours. I pressured him .the walk down was pretty good

and I got to see the village at the bottom. I met many friendly villagers ,but my guide couldn't talk to most of them cos they are his in-laws ... Oh and it only took 1 hour

I initially wanted to stay in Fiji for 1 week, but all the flights to Seoul were booked up so I had been given only 5 days. When it became apparent I would more time I tried to chae it to 10 days, but the best that I could get was to waitlisted after 12 days; so my plan is to do that ..go to the airport on Tuesday night and see if I can get on.There's always 1 seat !

Fri- along the Queens highway back towards Nadi
| | more rain looked around Suva .. Boring then bus to Pacific Harbour ..only person at hotel met some interesting people including Fijians who had lived abroad very Oreo, they complained about other native Fijians being lazy and expecting free drinks etc
