First ImpressionsI have just arrived in New Zealand ..5 days of exploring ..I like it it seems very English , but also in many ways similar to Ribeiro Preto or Araraquara (Brazil) the way the buildings, shops and life are similar. In the last 10 years NZ has changed 20. In 1989 it felt like a remote corner of the world 30 years behind the UK. The cars were all 20 years old, Ford Anglias etc and I was left without food from Saturday morning till Monday cos the shops closed on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Now there are 10 times more tourists than before and things are a bit over packaged. |
