162 Mexico is a Continent Not A Country

Havana to Cancun

I didnīt find any interesting projects or work in Cuba; mainly cos everything is so completely centrally controlled no one can make any decisions at a local level. So I took a plane over to Cancun and began travelling in Mexico hoping to come across a nice place to stay or some interesting work projects.

So far I travelled in the Yucatan --- To Valladolid --Pyramid of Chechin Itza -- Pyramids of Coba -- Tulum -- Cancun (an USA colony ..timeshare city) --- Izamal --- Merida --- Campeche (too hot to sleep) onto Chiapas State -- Pyramids of Palenque and the magic mushrooms --- Interesting San Christobal (coca cola and chicken sacrifice in the Church --- Tuxla Guirrez -- Oaxaca (different state like a different country -- walking in the villages on Olmec roads -- Tuxtepec -- Into Veracruz province --Las Tuxlas (not reaaly interesting) -- Coatzoalcalcos (boring big city) --Veracruz City (not too interesting either --- Cordoba (friendly and cheap) --- Mexico City

Mexico City

It was proving rather difficult to get lucky in the smaller towns so I decided to go onto --- Mexico City to make contacts
The Casa de Amigos is a good place to stay --- nice people but the city is too polluted and crime ridden to live there -- (a lot to see if you like art one or two things if you donīt, Teotihuacan Pyramids , Archaology Museum and the Templo Mejor)

North of Mexico City

Went to Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala to visit interesting eco project, but it was very cold

So went up to Queretaro, then San Miguel de Allende and now in Guanajato which is quite interesting
