Fully costumed and in a good mood they met after the first show of the day in front of the hall. The 11 English and 4 American fans of the Starlight musical, who stayed in Bochum for the weekend.
Pearl, alias Anna from London is in Bochum for the second time. She went to the Show in England for 52 times and she doesn´t like to miss her idols. Her homepage is one of the central ones in the net. There, international fans meet, send each other fotos and share news with each other. Here is where they organized the trip.
Their costumes are all sewn by themselves, after the patterns from the English show. It took her about 2 weeks, 5 hour each day. Work which she loved to do, says "Electra" (Note: The costumer referred to as "Electra" is actually Kirsty - the reporter wasn't very familiar with the show and didn't realize that Kirsty was dressed as a made-up character). The question, what does makes this musical special is asked at the right place. "Much fun ...different...a good mood, it doesn´t matter where you´re sitting, you´re a part of it..." 14 voices shout at once.
RB, from America rolls to us. "I´m a money truck!" he rumbles. He is in high spirits, because there are rumours that there will be a tour production of the musical in the USA. RB likes to be on skates and wants to take part in it. He is keen on the casting in December in New York. A few words of the Starlight- vocabulary the visitors have already learned Geldtransporter (money carriage), Schlafwagen(sleeping car) and Keiner kann es besser als die Dampflok (Nobody can do it like the steam train).
The local fan club welcomed them and proudly presented the new parts of the hall. "We have organized all this, even an extended backstage visit was possible," says Sven Stoffmehl delightedly. Rebecca (Kirsty) from Dormagen is delighted too. "Certainly we knew each other from the internet, but it is really special to meet them personally."
