Technology
The St. Francis Technology classes are designed not only to introduce the student to today's technogical advances, but allows them to utilize them in everyday life.
COMPUTER SCIENCE is the basis for all of the other classes. This course introduces the computer to the student, and teaches basic word processing. Included is an introduction to HTML, Spreadsheets, and databases.
WORD PROCESSING teaches advanced word processing via Microsoft Word. Includes mail merge, and most other functions.
WEB PAGE DESIGN This popular class is new for 2001/02. Teaches HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and how to design a Home on the World Wide Web. This site (the St. Francis Academy Web Page that you are now reading) is an example of what is taught. As opposed to other Web classes, this class teaches to program in the HTML code, not "WYSIWYG" programs. This allows the student to code their pages accurately.
