Charity Department Report

LTjg John Schulte

April 2004

It is with great pleasure that I can report increased numbers in our
OCP program for April. As a reminder, this program offers our overseas
service men and women and their families a chance to save some money on
their daily food and household items. By simply clipping and mailing
your coupons overseas you can make a direct impact in the lives of our
service men and women. As a personal benefit to your rank advancement,
these coupons can offer a fast way to make rank in STARFLEET.

We also use this medium to report any other charitable efforts that you
might be involved in, please report them either privately or on this
message forum.

The reports this month is as follows:

LTjg John Schulte

OCP Charitable Activities

Food Coupons $741.97

Non Food $1,502.18

Total Mailing $2,244.15

Other Activities

Boy Scouts - 6 hours as Treasurer of Troop

Osseo Lions Pancake Breakfast – 2 hours busing tables for fundraiser

I am sorry this report is so short this month. If I’ve missed anyone,
please let me know and I will include him or her for May’s report. We
are also in desperate need to increase participation in the OCP program,
if you have any ideas, please let me know. Please see Charity section
from the main St. George web site for further information.

Transporter Department Report

LTjg John Schulte

April 2004

With the help of the crew we were able to add additional coordinates
into the transporter bay. If you haven’t visited the Bay lately, please
stop by. We are located just past Shuttle Ops and the Officers Club
(funny how that happened!) (Web page is located in Engineering section.)

Chief Engineer's Report - April 26, 2004

There had been some complaints about phase transition coils in the
crew deck food replicators. The computer systems specialist teams
conducted level 2 diagnostics during the last month, covering all food
replicators on the ship. Everything appears to be working normally now.
The last complaint was an order of Klingon Blood Pie that tasted like
chocolate pudding, which I personally thought was an improvement anyway.

The Chief Engineer website is progressing slowly, but it is up and
running. Time constraints from my personal life these past couple of
weeks have slowed me down. One of the other department heads found an
interesting webpage for engineering stuff and I'm looking at it to
include a link on the page.

Nothing further at this time.

Communications Department Report for April 2004

Communications has had a rough month. After completely overhauling
the current communications database to reflect all the recent
changes in technology, the Saint George is back up and running
without a burp...um excuse me! :) We can now communicate with all
known forms of species that the Federation and its allies have come
in contact.

Work continues on the newsletter and we've had lots of great
responses to it. We could always use more entries especially
artwork. I would love to see how creative people can be. Artwork
does not only have to be pen, pencil or paint but can also include
computer art. I will use everything that is submitted to me.

The Doddema family is also going through change. We're getting
ready to move back to Missoula, MT where Kara will start college
this upcoming summer semester. I had forgotten all about the
scholarships that StarFleet offers until the recent article so Kara
will be applying for one of those.

Thanks to everybody for all their help, prayers and well wishes.

Long life

Ensign Bernard Doddema, Jr.
Communications, Chief
USS Saint George
