Also planning updates for the promotion criteria. Working with SFA COSF as Assistant Director. LtCmdr. Tom Schulte XO, USS Saint George NCC-63541 ******************************** ******************************** Communications Department Report for May 2004 Can you believe the month is almost over? Communications has been busy. Not only did we put out the latest issue of the Knightly News (remember to submit those articles....the more the better) but the entire Doddema family hightailed it out of South Dakota to Missoula, MT. Kara has started school and wondering what the big deal is. I can only imagine she wishes she were a stay- at-home mom again! Now that we're settled, I'm ready to mix it up again and make the subtle changes that will make all the difference for our crew and ship. Let your voice be heard. Write an article for the Knightly News about your favorite episode, character. Draw a picture. Have a fascinating story or poem that you've been dying to share? Send it in. Please keep word documents in a text format only. Send pictures in as jpegs. I've noticed with some other submissions that it's been difficult to convert to what I've needed. If you have any trouble let me know. Any ideas that you have to improve the newsletter, please let me know as well. I take this position seriously and need to know what works for the ship. Off my soapbox and see you next month. Doddema out. Ensign Bernard Doddema, Jr. Chief, Communications USS Saint George ******************************* ******************************* Charity Report May 2004 LTjg John Schulte Reporting We had a busy month with all of the OCP base votes and coupon submissions. Things are progressing slowly here in Engineering. With summer here, kids out of school, there is much work to be done keeping them in line. Our summer project is to learn to make bricks like the ancient Israelites. SO...this summer I may be a bit slower in responding to emails. Anyway, things are proceeding well in Engineering. Several scheduled diagnostics have shown that the ship is functioning within all parameters, and I must say that I am very pleased with that. See you later, FCAPT Ken Oziah Chief Engineer USS Saint George Environmental Systems Hello, not much going on down here. Getting ready for summer time. The environmental systems are set for 75 degrees, so don't go getting upset...Anway, the Chief Engineer has graciously allowed me (yeah ? ha ) to share his email space here and include my report; as much ( or as little ) as it is. CDR Toni Oziah Chief Environmental Systems USS Saint George ********************************* ********************************* COMMENTS : CO is looking forward to attending the Region Six summit in June and working with the crew to revamp the web page to help with recruiting.
