COMMENTS :

Science Department
October 2003 Report

Slow month for the Science Department. CSO sat in quarters most of
the time contemplating biomass energy and how gram atomic weight
differs from gram formula weight.

Furthered the crew's science education by answering the oft asked
question, "What is a moonbow?" via **Science Tidbits**.

Engaged select command staff in relentless conversation concerning
mission clarification matters. CSO is pleased to report that so far,
everybody's still speaking to her.

Monitored the lists and responded to any and all cries for scientific
help.

Respectfully submitted,

CPO Jay
Chief Science Officer
USS Saint George NCC-63541

The Deck Officer wishes to report that everything is discombobulated
because someone turned off the gravity in Cargo Bay One!! I think
perhaps the Chief Engineer played a trick before he transferred!!
:-) So, our teams will be picking up hydrospanners and
microanalyzers for a couple of weeks.

Region Six Conference/ValleyCon report

We had a great ValleyCon this year!

Walter Koenig was terrific. I especially enjoyed the "Star Trek Reflections
and Predictions" forum co-hosted by Walter and our very own Mike Urvand (who
comported himself with dignity, fanboy moments notwithstanding). :-D I now
have a new autograph hanging on my home's "Wall of Fame."

Congratulations Tom and Wendy on your promotions! We called Tom via
speakerphone to tell him about his promotion and the sound of his voice
was priceless. :)

One of the announcements at ValleyCon is that there are going to be TWO
ValleyCons next year - one in April 2004 and one in October 2004.
Start saving for our next away mission now!

- JoAnna Wahlund

William Shakespeare walks into a London pub. The bartender takes one
look at him and says, "We can't serve you here. You're bard!"
