     When  Edward, our parish's latest 'adopted child', was born on Oct. 21, 1998, Allison knew her son faced some challenges.  Edward has since grown from 2 lbs.-1 oz. to nearly 6 lbs. while remaining on a respirator most of the time.   Unfortunately, Edward has a brain injury that produces excess fluid.  An operation was needed to install a permanent shunt to drain the fluid from his brain to his kidney when he reached 5 pounds.

On Saturday, Jan. 30th, Allison and a bright eyed Edward, along with members of her family, were welcomed by members of the St. George Pro-life group and presented with all of the gifts donated by the generous St. George parishoners.  On this page you can see the beautiful faces of Allison and Edward as they thank you for your love, support and generosity...THANK YOU!
