Do you use Canola Oil? --------Read This! This “Canola “ is found in many Restaurant foods, it
is found in Bakeries, Supermarkets, even in some so called Health Food shops. It really is a “Bad
Seed”. You have too much to do to allow your health to be endangered at all. Do all you can to
avoid the Internationalist Poisons? The original message from Gayle B. Ellison, gayleell@internetcds.com
Tustin and I quit using Canola oil some time ago, because of what we had heard even then, a friend forwarded
this to me, I thought this deserved to be passed on. Canola Oil - a must read - before you buy your
next bottle of cooking oil ………. I think it is important that as many people as possible know about
the ORIGINS of this product, then, if you choose to buy it you will be doing so with your eyes open.
RAPE IN A DIFFERENT GUISE! Dear Editors, Recently I bought cooking oil which was new to our Supermarkets,
“Canola Oil”, I tried it because the label assured me it was lowest in “Bad Fats”, However, when I
had used half of the bottle, I concluded that the label told me surprisingly little else and I started
to wonder where does “Canola Oil” come from? Olive Oil comes from the Olive tree fruit, Peanut Oil from
Peanuts and so on but what was a “Canola”? There was nothing on the label to enlighten me, which I thought
odd. So I did some investigating of my own on the internet. There are plenty of official “Canola” sites
lauding this new wonder oil with all its low fat health benefits, it takes a little longer though to
find some mind blowing facts, and here are just a few of them everyone should know before buying anything
containing “Canola Oil”; the word Canola is not the name of a natural plant but a made up word derived
from the words “Canada and Oil”, Canola is a genetically engineered plant developed in Canada from the
Rapeseed plant which is part of the Mustard family of plants (Anyone remember the banning of Rapeseed
all over the world because of it’s toxic nature?) According to Agri Alternatives, the Online Innovation
and Technology magazine for farmers; “By nature, these rapeseed oils, which have long been used to produce
oils for industrial purposes are … toxic to humans and any animals” (This by the way is one of the
websites singing the praises of the new Canola industry?) Rapeseed oil is poisonous to living things
and is used as an insect repellent, I have been using it in a much diluted form as per instructions to
kill the aphids on my roses for the last 2 years, it works very well, I suppose because of its toxicity,
Ask for it at your Nursery. Rape is oil that is used as a Lubricant, Fuel, Soap base, Synthetic rubber
base, as an illuminant for the colour pages of your favourite magazine. It is“Industrial Oil”, it is
definitely not a “Food”. Rape oil, it seems causes Emphysema, Respiratory diseases, Anaemia, Constipation,
Irritability and Blindness in Animals and Humans, there was a connection made with the incidence of Mad
Cow Disease and Canola oil in the feed lots, but the world wide trend in the spread of Mad Cow Disease
has thrown a doubt on this. U.S. and Canadian farmers grow genetically engineered Rapeseed and manufacturers
use its oil (Canola) in thousands of processed foods, all with the blessing of the Canadian and U.S.
government watchdog agencies. The Canola supporting websites say that Canola is safe to use, they admit
it was developed from the Rapeseed, but insist that through genetic engineering it is no longer Rapeseed
but Canola instead, there is one thing wrong here, Canola means Canada Oil and the plant is still a Rapeseed
plant albeit genetically modified. The new name provides a perfect cover for commercial interests wanting
to make millions from a product which was on the shelf. Have a look at some of the labels on your
Supermarket shelves, apparently Peanut oil is being replaced by Canola or Rape oil, you’ll find it in
an alarming number of processed foods, can it be the cost of producing the “Good Oil” is taking some
precious dollars from the poor manufacturers pockets? There is also a connection with the use of Mustard
Gas, which was banned after blistering the lungs and skin of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians
during W.W.1. Recent French reports indicate that it was in use again during the Gulf War. Check
all products for ingredients, if the label says “may contain the following” and lists Canola Oil, then
you can be sure it does as it is the cheapest oil and the Canadian Government subsidizes it to industries
involved in food processing. I don’t know what you will be cooking with tonight, but I’ll be using
Olive Oil and old fashioned Butter. Here is some more information for you to digest; Canola Oil
from the rape seed, referred to as Canadian Oil because Canada is mainly responsible for it being marketed
to the USA and the rest of the world, the Canadian government and industry paid the FDA (USA), $50 million
dollars to have Canola Oil placed on the GRAS list “Generally Recognised As Safe”, thus a new industry
was created, Laws were enacted affecting international trade, commerce, and traditional diets. Studies
with laboratory animals were disastrous, rats developed fatty degeneration of heart, kidney, adrenal
and thyroid glands, and when Canola was withdrawn from their diets, the fatty deposits dissolved but
scar tissue remained on all vital organs. No studies on human beings were made at all before money was
spent to promote Canola Oil in the USA. Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is a rare but fatal degenerative
disease caused by the build up of long chain fatty acids (c22 to c28) which destroys the myelin (protective
sheath) of the nerves; Canola Oil is very long chain fatty acid oil (c22). Those who will defend Canola
Oil say that the Chinese and Indians have used it for centuries with no effect, however this was in a
very different and unrefined form (taken from “Fats that heal and fats that kill” by Udo Erasmus.) My
cholesterol level was 150, after a year using Canola Oil I tested at 260, I then switched back to pure
Olive Oil and it has taken 5 years to get it down again to 160. Thus began this project to find answers
since most GPs. will say that it is O.K. to take Canola Oil. My sister spilled Canola Oil on a piece
of fabric, after 5 pre-treatments and harsh washings, the oily spot still showed, She stopped using Canola
then wondering what it did to our insides if it could not be removed from a cloth easily. Our father
bred birds, always checking labels on the seed packet to ensure there was no rapeseed in the food, and
He said “The birds will eat it, but they don’t live very long after”. A friend, who worked for only 9
months as a quality control tester at an apple chip factory where Canola Oil was used exclusively for
frying, developed numerous health problems, these included; loose teeth and gum disease, numb hands and
feet, swollen arms and legs on arising in the morning, extreme joint pain especially in the hands, cloudy
vision, constipation with stools like black marbles, hearing loss, skin tears from the slightest bump,
lack of energy, hair loss and heart pains. It has been 5 years now since she worked there and she still
has some joint pain, gum disease and numbness. A fellow worker, about 30 years old, who ate very little
of the product, had a routine check up and found that his blood vessels were like those of an 80 year
old man. Two of the employees fed the waste product to baby calves and all their hair fell out, after
removing the fried apple chips from their diet their hair grew back. My daughter and her girls were
telling jokes, Stephanie hit her mothers arm in a gesture with the back of a butter knife, not hard enough
to hurt but the arm split open like it was rotten, she called me to ask what could have caused it and
I said “I’ll bet you are using Canola Oil”, and sure enough there was a big gallon jug of the stuff in
the pantry. Rapeseed Oil is a penetrating oil, to be used in light industry only, NOT for human consumption
because it contains a toxic substance, (from encyclopaedia) Even after the processing to reduce the erucic
acid content, it is still a penetrating oil, we have found that it turns rancid very fast, also it leaves
a residual rancid odour on clothing. <Rapeseed oil used for stir frying in China is found to emit
cancer causing chemicals, rapeseed oil smoke causes lung cancer> Amal Kumar Maj. “The wall street
journal, June 7th. 1995 pB6(W) pB6(E) col. 1(11 col in). Compiled by Darleen Bradley; Canola Oil is a
health hazard to use as a cooking oil or a salad oil. It is not the healthy oil we thought it was. It
is not fit for human consumption. Do not eat Canola Oil, it can and will hurt you, polyunsaturated or
not, this is bad oil.” Be sure to also read this informative report written by leading health expert
Tom Valentine, “Canola Oil Report”, for further details refer to article “The Strategy” December 1998
edition 86-5, The Oiling of America; Modern day diets high in hydrogenated vegetable oils are implicated
in causing a significant increase in heart disease and cancer.
