You say how is it that I live
if I was crucified,
And you question My existence
though you know deep inside ~
Conflicting thoughts and beliefs
that now set you a part
While you turn your back from the truth
you once knew within your heart.

Go ahead and laugh at Me
joke amongst your friends,
Become a part of a fallen world
but why do you pretend?
Mock My name and ridicule
hide from reality,
But one day you will have to answer
for Eternity.

Pretend that I do not exist
in the world you've come to know
Listen to what the others say
while you "go with the flow" ~
Turn your back from all My love
and My everlasting truth
And forget about the sacrifice
that I made just for you.

Slap Me in the face once more
and drive the nails through my hands
Laugh at Me with your friends
for you do not understand ~
Reject Me as I die for you
as you scorn at My name,
Go ahead, turn away from Me
but My love will stay the same.

For though you turn your back on Me
and hide from what you know is true
Deep inside your heart of hearts
you know I died for you ~
I paid the price for your sins
so you would truly see
How much I love you till the end
of all Eternity.

So for now I'll just watch over you
I will never turn away
I'll wait for you to come to Me,
for you, I'll not forsake ~
I made a sacrificial choice
when you drove those nails through,
For I chose you above all else
and I paid that price for you.

"This poem has such an impact.   I wasn't even going to write today, but these words came flooding out after I had read something.   The message is clear that Jesus is saying no matter what we do or have done, no matter what choices we make, no matter which way we turn, He still loves us ~ NO MATTER WHAT!   We can go about our daily lives and forget about Him; forget He existed; forget He died for us; forget the truth and live for our own truth and ourselves.   But no matter what we do....we can ridicule Him, mock Him, deny Him, reject Him, turn away from Him....and He will always love us.   He will always be there for us.   Waiting for us, to make a choice.   Are we for Him or against Him?   It is one or the other ~ we can't have both.   It is so awesome to think that no matter what we do, He loves us just the same.   He made that sacrificial choice 2000 years ago.   He chose to die for us.   So why can't we choose to die for ourselves to gain New Life in Him?   Jesus is waiting for us.   He loves us.   He will never leave or forsake us.   He chose us that day on the Cross....He chose those nails we drove into His hands and feet....He chose to die for us....why?   Because He loves us.   He chose to pay that price just for you....and just for me."
