To Give
Us new Life
A man was murdered
Many years ago,
Because He and His
Father,
They loved us so.
He was hung on a cross
Under a red hot sun,
Killed for something
He had not done.
That man was Jesus,
Who died for our sin
Hoping we would open
Our hearts to Him.
Jesus was betrayed
By Judas' kiss,
Thirty silver coins
Were given for this.
Beaten and whipped,
Crowned By thorns,
Upon Him was heaped
Much mocking and scorn.
In the company of thieves,
On His right and His
left,
He was hung up there,
In pain, and bereft.
They buried Him in
a cave
With a stone at the
door,
Expecting not to see
Him
Evermore.
But in three days,
As the prophets had
said,
Jesus awoke
And rose from the
dead.
He had been down to
hell
And fought with the
devil,
So we could all
Be delivered from
evil.
And when Satan was
beaten,
Then Jesus went
Back up to heaven,
From where He'd been
sent.
The blood that He shed
On the cross that
day,
Has washed all our
pain
And sins away.
So I praise His name,
And I give Him great
blessing
For He has saved me
From a life full of
sin.
I thank Him for dying
That I may live,
And to Him all my
love
And honour I give.

"I couldn't have told
this story better myself! Jesus came to give us new life, and
He did to give us new life....so that we may live eternally.
He took all our worries, cares and sins with Him to the Cross so we didn't
have to die because of them. The sacrifice He made for us was
to give us new life. And we owe Him our lives.....because He
gave His for us."
