In beautiful abundance
a promise to behold;
A love so unconditional
is more precious than gold ~
In perfect adoration
He gave for us to see,
The promise of His only Son
who died on Calvary.
Reflections of His wonder
and glorious love divine
The blood shed upon the Cross
His gift for all mankind ~
The glory of the Saviour
who bears all our sins
That we may live forever
in Eternity with Him.
The wonder of His promises
a joy we've come to share
As we seek the comfort of His grace
and come to Him in prayer ~
Give to Him the troubles
confessions from the soul,
Feel His cleansing spirit
and blood that makes us whole.
"Open the eyes of our hearts
that we may see Your face
The reverence of the precious love
and wonder of Your grace ~
Give to us forever
the power to become
Images of Your perfect love
cleansed by Your precious Son."
The gift of eternal life
is only found in Him
Through acceptance of His Son,
His blessed offering ~
And only then will we know
the glory of His grace,
His love and wondrous promises
and His comforting embrace.
Blessed assurance, we have new life
in Him eternally,
Knowing His everlasting love
and grace that sets us free ~
For the true meaning of Easter
by love God designed
The gift of His Son to die for us
a blessing so sublime.

"This poem is a beautiful tribute to the love God has for us. It depicts the wonder and majesty of not only His power, but the essense of His love ~ so unconditional, so precious, so everlasting, that He gave us a most beautiful gift! His Son. The true meaning of Easter reflects a timeless promise He made to the world. He gave us His Son to die for us on the Cross at Calvary. There, Jesus took all our sins, all our shame, all our hurts, all our pain, all our troubles, all our burdens ~ everything! Jesus took it all and carried them to the Cross and gave them to His Father, our Heavenly Father, crying to Him "Father, forgive them. For they know not what they do!" (Luke 23:34) He came so that we might have new life. The egg we see so often at Easter time (and pictured here in this set), represents New Life, which is only possible through Jesus. This New Life God offers us is one of Eternal Life. A glorious life in abundance with Him in eternity! But the road to Heaven is not paved with gold, but many troubles in life. It was once said that "the bumps are what you climb on". They are what help build you and make you stronger. And if it all gets too much to bear, just seek the comfort of Jesus, and He will take the burdens for you. Trusting in Him completely. It isn't always easy, but God offered us a blessed promise in His Son, that we are all entitled to....but it is up to us which choice we make. It is either accept or reject ~ there is no halfway; there is no "sitting on the fence", in the middle, or indecision with a foot in both camps. We must make a choice. Jesus asked that if we are to follow Him, it must be with everything! We must give up everything in order to live Holy lives for God. The Bible says "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." (Matt.16:25) That means to give up the ways of life as we know it, the ways of the world, and take up your Cross daily and follow Him. To take up your Cross daily means to commune with God every day, to confess your sins, because we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God, yet we have been saved by grace ~ should we choose to accept it. And every day, God will cleanse us anew with His love and the blood of His Son. THAT is the true meaning of Easter."
